Quality is slowly going down each time I visit!!
Building looks ruff but the food is amazing we have been there a few times and going back tomorrow it's a 2 hour drive and worth it.
We just stopped for a sandwich to go and it ranks pretty high as one of the best fish sandwich I can remember. Good southern cooking.
I waited a hour for my order.I watched the lady behind the counter fight with several customers over payments.I seen one gentleman wait 15 minutes to pay for his meal. After that I left.Never tasted the food but the staff was not organized and the building was in poor condition with most of the floor tiles missing.I'm sure the kitchen area was the same. The health department needs to pay them a surprise inspection and I'm sure the place would be closed down.
Very delicious food. Good southern hospitality.
Great food and service
Best fried catfish in town
Great portions for platter. Quality of catfish is on par with Minendorf's on Northwest side of Lake Ponchatrain.
Hello. I enjoying eating their food. Although they don't give enough but they do serve good. They have a peace and quite place.
Fried fish & shrimp plate was fried just right... A little bit pricey but excellent service made up for the cost...
The food was decent, but the staff was obnoxiously loud. To the point that we couldn't hear each other at the table. Our server was nice she asked them three different times to lower the volume. They did briefly each time. By the third time, one of the other servers stated she didn't care. Apparently, one of the servers she had a tooth missing in the front, had received a job offer. Makes me wonder how they are operating.
Can't go wrong with the catfish!
Super nice people generous portions gator is wonderful
Always good! Just a small sit down kind of place. Nothing fancy but good food and you feel like you are at home!
I order the fried shrimp and oyster meal includes 3 fried shrimp, 6 fried oyster, 2 hush puppies and some fries. Not the best tasting meal definitely not worth the price. Cost $22.29 taste more like $2.29. Don't do it!
Fish very well fried. Waitresses were not very professional.
Great food and great service.
Good food at a reasonable price.
Portions were very small and overcooked.
Always good service and good food!
Awesome place to dine in or take out. Big portions worth the price.
Order my food at 5 minutes after 5 didn't get my food until 10 minutes to 6. Got there to pick up my food at 5:30 then they asked me if I wanted my Po-Boys On the Bun because the French bread was frozen I said I have no other choice my blossoming onion had been sitting on the counter by that time with 30 minutes if I would have wanted a shrimp on the bun I would have ordered a shrimp on a bun they gave me the cold blossman onion got home it was still dough in the middle. Very very bad experience
DELICIOUS Fried catfish and shrimp that are so freakin good I've yet to order anything else , very happy upbeat atmosphere, and the staff are smiling and sweet as can be everytime ive been here.
Good food but they have no respect for each other, two people argued right in front of customers.
Food surprisingly is delicious but staff and sanitation and cleanliness leave something to be desired about wanting to eat here again.. plus there was a catapillar on the ceiling!!!!!!
I recommend eating at Jug Heads in the evenings. Apparently they employ more than one chef, each with their own style of "Southern Fried Catfish". The hushpuppy are better during 2nd shift as well. However, wether at lunch or dinner, the selection of catfish prepared are always good clean tasting deep water dwelling catfish.
Food was fantastic for hole in the place. Our waitress was super pleasant!
There aligater is good
Good fish really good fired just right
What happened to this place. Use to be good food, quick service, and delivery. Now the food is bland, no flavor, and they stopped delivery. Use to be my go to when in town.
Was looking for a place to eat at the Southern Terminus of the Natchez Trace Parkway. Google maps showed this place just past a chain restaurant. We decided to give it a try. Wow!! My father and I just grabbed a fish sandwich to go because we were in a hurry. Had we known how delicious the food was going to be, we would have stayed and ordered a big meal. The perfect way to end a trip down the Trace.
Really Good Catfish. I am glad I got recommended here
I will never order food at this place again! My son ordered for us by mistake. The worst seafood I ever ate hushpuppies were like rubber, shrimp was tough, salad was covered in cheese to cover up taste of a bad salad. Don't know what happened, they used to have good food. Still burping up grease.
Good seafood and steaks. Easy in And out. Service a little slow but worth the wait. Priced fair.
Worst catfish I ever had. Or maybe I should say the non-existent catfish. Very disappointed. I must say the two girls that waited on me were absolutely excellent. All I got was 5 slivers of catfish followed by a ton of batter. $18.50.
We waired over an hour to get our food. Cole slaw was bland, gator was tough and chewy and tasted like mud. Hush puppies where dry and did not taste good either. But the catfish was really good. I would suggest getting them cut in half before they bread them and fry them. The waitresses kept messing up the tickets and the order they went into the kitchen. Had a table sit down 20 minutes after us and ate before us. Waitress was nice but bad for her business. She was very honest about everything about what goes on there. We won't be coming back.
Great service and hospitality
The fish and shrimp plate was great. The serving size was alot. The service and food was great. Totally enjoyed.
We ordered a large order ($118) for our large family. The staff was arguing with each other, the restaurant was extremely busy. We got our order and left and when we got home we found out that the fish was still raw, the blooming onion wasn't fully cooked, the shrimp and oysters were way over cooked (like rubber) and the gumbo was 95% rice. So we called the restaurant and told the owner all of this and he said he would give us a credit for everything but the gumbo. We live 45 minutes away and being after 8pm they said don't worry about returning the food. So when we go back for the credit one of the ladies working remembered the whole ordeal and said that they had to call their boss to confirm on a order over $100 he tell the lady that nothing in life is free and that we could purchase the order again and check it before we leave, so he wouldn't honor his word. Last time we ever do business with jughead's again.
Massive portions of food that is just OK. Nothing spectacular. Service is very good. Prices are OK.
OmgWe r Cajuns & know great seasoned food. It was awesome Grilled catfish w boiled potatoes came w green beans
The best fried catfish I have eaten. Generous portions. It is American grown catfish. When we go to Natchez, we always stop for lunch. Great staff. Everyone is so friendly.
We got a large take out orders, shrimp dinners, oyster dinners, fish plate, blooming onions, gumbo......$115.....the food was terrible.... undercooked fish, over cooked shrimp and oysters, uncooked blooming onions and I can't even describe what they called gumbo. It has been several years since we had ordered from here so we decided that people/restaurants can have a bad night and since the entire staff was in some sort of uproar we just called back to express our disappointed. The man who was placed on the phone with me as the manager listen and said he would replace the order when we were coming back into town. So tonight we went to get our redo.....manager wasn't there, girls remembered us and our order.....had to call him first.....his response... nothing in Life is free..... he's right, by his standard we wasted $115 in his business but we won't make that mistake again and hopefully we can keep others from making the same mistake. FYI Fish House across town, much better food.
Very friendly staff! They serve french fries to kids upon being seated. Seems like everyone on staff came by to make sure we didn't need anything.
Went on Friday the food was ok. The fish was as always perfect. It would be much better if it wasn't farm raised. The extra order of onion rings were cold and way too much heavy breading, that feel off as soon as you bite into it. The extra order of hushpuppies were burnt and tough. Will I go back probably not. Being new to the area and still searching for that spot that tickle my tastebuds. Coming from Midwest we have certain standards when it comes to street food!!
The food was good. And the service was friendly.
Food is good & helpings are plentiful. Service needs improving.
Best seafood platter in the area. Even the hush puppies were better than others, unlike the normal coarse corny ones that are served at other places. These are more like fritters in taste. And the number of items on the platter is greater than the norm. Also, the tarter sauce was not the usual sweet salad dressing type. Yes, I would go back.
Love the service!! I recommend the chef salad add grill chicken. Yumm!
This was a wonderful little place to eat. The food was fresh and hot and seasoned very well. The server was super friendly. He was attentive and knew the menu. Very reasonable prices. Again...we really enjoyed ourselves. Don't let the curb appeal fool you...They are working on the lot.
